Multi-day Voyages

Earn continuing education credits on a three-masted schooner. Professional development voyages aboard the S/V Denis Sullivan challenge teachers to live and work aboard a traditionally rigged schooner while gaining hands-on experience with field studies, developing science projects or leadership plans. As an expert provider of experiential education programs, we specialize in getting teachers out of a four-walled classroom and inspiring them to share these experiences with their students.

You will rub elbows with professionals in youth leadership, ecology, conservation, water quality and history. A course on the S/V Denis Sullivan will give you a newfound passion and excitement for teaching, experiential education training, and a wealth of knowledge to take back to the classroom.

Journey the open waters of the Great Lakes on a traditionally rigged schooner. Though a traditional vessel, the S/V Denis Sullivan is equipped with the technology for a cutting-edge hands-on study of the ecosystem of this interflowing aggregate and global resource.

Graduate or continuing education credits are available through University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

It’s not too early to plan for next summer. Programs on the S/V Denis Sullivan have limited capacity and will book fast.

The S/V Denis Sullivan’s Director of Programs works with individual districts, principals, professors and K-12 teachers to develop customized programs.
