ready, acoustically treated and has a full lighting grid. This
is a perfect sound stage for companies or independent productions.
Designed as a sound stage - Acoustical tiles cover the ceiling and most of the walls, double wall construction, floating floor, and multi-layer drywall and acoustical insulation to isolate airborne sound and structural vibration, creating superior low-frequency isolation.
Located on the 2nd floor of the Technology Building inside Discovery World.

A private sail on the S/V Denis Sullivan offers an environment that no other venue can match as a captivating and impressive platform to network, express gratitude, celebrate or simply socialize. The experience offers a peaceful setting on Lake Michigan and a quiet sail on the world’s only traditional Great Lakes schooner.
While aboard, you and your guests (total 50 people) will be able to participate in raising sail, take a turn at the helm, tack through the wind, learn something new, or simply relax, unwind and sail! Challenge your team! Unite your employees in an experience that is like no office committee meeting. Take your people into an environment surrounded by water, where the benefits of working together truly sail you home to safety.

Once you have reviewed the details of the Discovery World event program, your personal event specialist will assist you in checking availability and answer any questions you may have.
In order to confirm your event, a signed contract and deposit are required. Your event specialist will contact you fourteen days prior to your event to confirm food, beverage and event details. A final contract will be provided.
Guaranteed Number of Guests
A guaranteed number of guests are required for all functions no later than seven (7) business days prior to the event. Should the client not provide Bartolotta’s Catering and Events with the timely guarantee, the estimated attendance on the catering agreement will serve as the guarantee.
Payment
A signed copy of the contract and deposit equal to 50% of your estimated food, beverage and rental fees are due within 10 business days. The second pre-event payment to Bartolotta’s Catering and Events will be based upon the guaranteed number of guests, reflecting any modifications of original proposal, and is due no less than seven (7) business days prior to the event. Should proper payment not be received within the designated time, Bartolotta’s reserves the right to cancel the function. Any additional charges incurred during the event will be paid at the end of the event via credit card or cash. Bartolotta’s Catering and Events requires that a credit card authorization form be filled out, signed and returned fourteen (14) days prior to your function, to be kept on file for any additional charges.
Discovery World Admission
Discovery World admission is an optional program to add to your event. It is not included in your room rental or food and beverage minimum.
For day events, your event specialist will provide you with wristbands on the day of your event, to give your guests. Guarantee of admission will be the same number as your final guest guarantee count. Tickets are only valid on your event day and cannot be redeemable for a future date. All admission is self-guided. Exhibit maps are available at the Information Booth.
Service and Tax
A banquet service charge of 21% will be added to the total food and beverage price. The state of Wisconsin tax laws requires the hospitality industry to collect 5.85% sales tax on food, beverage, service charge and miscellaneous fees.
Décor and Entertainment
All decorations, additional lighting and sound systems, event setup and entertainment proposed by the client shall be subject to approval by Discovery World and Bartolotta’s Catering and Events. No live animals, other than see-eye dogs, are to be brought on the Discovery World property.
Event Parking
Discovery World parking lot will be available for your guests during your event based on a first-come first-served basis. The special event self park rate is $8 per car. You have the option of adding this to your master bill or guests can pay upon departure. For master bill parking you will only be charged for actual vouchers redeemed. Event day you will be provided with event parking rate cards.
Valet Parking
Valet parking is available. This must be coordinated at least 21 days in advance and is added to the master bill. Please contact an event specialist at 414-765-8610 for valet rates and availability.
Cancellation
In the event a function is canceled, client shall be responsible for a cancellation fee. See contracts for cancellation fees.
Audio / Visual
Discovery World has its own audio / visual services. You do have the option of providing your own audiovisual for your event, however, this must be coordinated through the event specialist. An additional fee will be applied.
First Aid
Groups over 1000 guests are required to have first aid to be on-site. Applicable charges will be included on the master bill.
Do you have a boardroom to accommodate small meetings?
Our smallest space holds 25. For daytime groups under 100 we can confirm availability 90 days in advance. Food and beverage minimums apply.
For evening groups under 150 we can confirm availability 90 days in advance. Food and beverage minimums apply.
Does the room rental charge go toward the Food and Beverage minimum?
The room rental charge is an additional fee and does not apply toward your Food and Beverage minimum.
Can I bring in my own entertainment, florist, etc?
Yes, please click here for a copy of our vendor guidelines. No live animals (including fish) are permitted on site.
Is admission required for our guests?
Evening events do not require a per guest fee. If an area of the facility is requested, fees will apply. Please see our event guidelines for more information.
What do you need to hold a date?
Once you select a date with our Event specialist and they confirm availability, we will send you a contract to confirm the date and times. We ask that you wait to send out any invitations for the event until all parties have signed the contract.
How much deposit is needed to hold a date?
50% of your room rental and a portion of the Food and beverage minimum are due with your signed contract. Final payment is due the day of the event.
Do you offer direct billing?
No, all payments are due in advance and we accept the following forms of payment: check, cash, Visa, and MasterCard.
Can I setup a coat check?
Yes, we do have coat check for an additional charge based on group size. We require at least 14 business days prior to event to set up coat check.
