Aquatarium Adventure

Take a guided tour of different sections of the Aquatarium, our freshwater exhibit building. A Discovery World Team Member will walk your school group through one, two, or three different sections of the Aquatarium: the Reiman Aquarium, our HUGE model of the Great Lakes, or a fun experience about Invasive Species. These tours involve hands-on examples and fun, interactive engagement. Mix and match which experiences most interest you. Subject to availability. Only bookable September – early June.

The Reiman Aquarium

Take an interactive walking tour of the Reiman Aquarium and chart the course of the S/V Denis Sullivan as it sails from Lake Michigan to the Caribbean. Name the fish along the way, learn interesting aquatic facts, and discover new vocabulary words!

See the biggest model of the Great Lakes in the world! Take a closer look at the environment in our backyard and see examples of prehistoric and modern day animals that call the Great Lakes home.

Invasive Species Experience

Watch out! Invasive species are a real problem in the Great Lakes. See examples of local invasive species, what negative effects they can have, and learn how environmentalists are trying to prevent the spread of non-native plants and animals.
