Family/Companion Restroom

An all-gender family/companion restroom is located on the 1st floor near the Admissions Desk.

An adult-weight lift table and height-adjusting sink are available in this restroom.

Parent’s Room

To access a private location for nursing mothers or anyone who needs a private space, please inquire at the Admissions Desk.

Transportation

Visitor drop-off and pick-up is allowed at Discovery World’s main entrance.

In our underground parking garage, 6 accessible parking spaces are located near the main elevator. The garage’s height limit is 6 ft, 8 in.

Mobility

Discovery World has a limited number of wheelchairs (including a bariatric wheelchair) and strollers available for guests to use. 

Wheelchairs and strollers are available to guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no charge to rent.

To rent a wheelchair or stroller, please speak with staff at the Admissions Desk. An ID is required to check one out.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted in Discovery World.

Live animals other than trained service animals or as authorized for Discovery World Special Events are not allowed to be brought in by guests.

Sensory Resources

Discovery World has partnered with KultureCity® to enhance our ability to assist and accommodate guests with sensory needs. Our goal is to provide an inclusive experience for all guests during all events. We strive to raise awareness of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with sensory processing needs by supplying our staff with annual training and by offering the resources and accommodations below to our guests:

KultureCity® Sensory Bags

KultureCity® Sensory Bags containing special KultureCity® VIP badges, feeling thermometer, fidget tools, and noise-canceling headphones are available for checkout at no cost.

Please speak with staff at the Admissions Desk to checkout a Sensory Bag. An ID is required to check one out.

Quiet Areas

Quiet areas are located near the BIG exhibit on the 2nd floor of the Tech Side of our building and near the Upper Mezzanine restrooms on the Aqua Side of our building.

Headphone Zones

Headphone zones (loud areas) are located at the Power On! exhibit and the Great Lakes Future exhibit.

Medical and Emergency Assistance

In the event of a medical emergency, please notify the nearest staff member for assistance.

One external defibrillator (AED) is located on the Promenade of Discovery World and another can be found at the Reiman Aquarium Touch Tank.
