Out in the Cold Workshop

Water freezes during winter – so why don’t the fish in it? Come explore the biochemistry that keeps animals alive in the freezing winter temperatures. Look under a microscope at frogs’ blood, test out the insulating properties of blubber, and see how some animals use an antifreeze solution to stay alive all winter long.

All ages, adult supervision required. Limited to 20 participants at a time.
